Does Jen Recommend Genuine Fred Jigsaw Puzzles?
So, my Fred puzzle arrived with quite a few damaged pieces.
You never want to see this kind of thing in a puzzle box! I was able to repair some of the damaged pieces but not all of them.
I contacted Fred via Instagram and received a very timely reply that I could email the photo along with the name of the puzzle and they would replace it. I’m happy to say that it was replaced quickly. Great customer service from Fred!
As I worked the puzzle I noticed that there were many false fits along the edge, some of which didn’t get sorted out until the puzzle was nearly completed. I chalk that up to the fact that nearly all of the edge pieces were fully white with no other distinguishing colors.
The pieces for the puzzle didn’t lay quite flat, which may be the result of the manufacturing defect which damaged some of the pieces.
I do recommend Fred puzzles. Their catalog is unique and eclectic. The manufacturing is nothing special and typical for puzzles made in China. As Fred’s focus is on the artists, they are definitely puzzles worth doing and keeping.
