Vermont Christmas Company
Vermont Christmas Company is mainly known for their advent calendars which they began making in the late 90’s. (That’s last century!)
You can find a range of colorful puzzles in various themes, though I think their holiday puzzle selection is the best around.

Vermont Christmas Company puzzles are grid cut which means the pieces are cut in a more systematic grid pattern. The pieces typically have straight edges and pieces will meet at all four corners.

The 550 piece Cardinals and Friends puzzle I chose is made from recycled materials. I was not able to determine what percentage is recycled.
Images & Themes
Image Quality and Resolution
Cardinals and Friends has a crisp and clear image with a glossy finish.
Here are some close-ups!
Theme Variety and Originality
The Vermont Christmas Company has over 200 puzzles across nearly 20 themes and a catalog of 30 different artists.
I find their images have a nostalgic feel regardless of the artist, no doubt an intentional selection in their carefully curated catalog. (Say that 5 times fast!)
Benefits of Doing Jigsaw Puzzles
There are so many benefits to doing jigsaw puzzles. Doing puzzles is similar to meditation; it helps you focus your mind. When concentrating solely on the puzzle, every day stresses and anxieties have no room to run rampant.
Memory improvement is another major benefit of puzzling; one must recognize patterns and shapes and remember where they belong in the wider picture. Studies show they are especially helpful for Alzheimer and dementia patients; the mental stimulation has been shown to delay a worsening of symptoms.
In addition to those skills, they help teach pattern recognition, shape sorting, color recognition, problem solving, and even patience.
Jen Recommends
The Cardinals and Friends puzzle I did was 550 pieces and a nice “puzzle snack” as smaller puzzles are sometimes called. They’re usually quick to finish and a nice break from the larger puzzles which usually take a lot longer to complete.
If you like nostalgic images, I think you’ll like the puzzles Vermont Christmas Company has to offer. I definitely think you’ll find their holiday selection to be the best around!
