Werkshoppe Jigsaw Puzzle Materials and Cut Style
Cut Style
Werkshoppe puzzles are grid cut which means the pieces are cut in a more systematic grid pattern. The pieces typically have straight edges and pieces will meet at all four corners.
Material
Werkshoppe uses ESKA® which is a 100% recycled board from the Netherlands. The pieces produced a medium amount of dust and while they were not as thick as other puzzles they were quite sturdy.
Benefits of Doing Jigsaw Puzzles
There are so many benefits to doing jigsaw puzzles. They’re great for keeping your brain sharp. I use them for concentration, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
In addition to those skills, they help teach pattern recognition, shape sorting, color recognition, problem solving, and even patience.
Does Jen Recommend Werkshoppe Jigsaw Puzzles?
The full size Werkshoppe puzzles come in a cool cannister, so right away they stand out among the pack. Eye-catching packaging is a good thing, but what about the puzzle itself?
The pieces are sturdy and the usual size for a 300 piece puzzle. While there was some gloss to the puzzle it wasn’t overwhelming and I had no difficulty seeing the image as I was working on it.
The reference poster was tucked around the inside of the canister and would be especially helpful on larger piece puzzles. The image is on the outside of the canister but having the poster is always a plus.
