Vizzles full size puzzles are available in 1000 piece counts. The mini versions of each edition have 150 pieces.

Vizzles Jigsaw Puzzle Materials and Cut Style

Cut Style

Castorland employs a grid cut which means the pieces are cut in a more systematic grid pattern. The pieces typically have straight edges and pieces will meet at all four corners.

Material

According to the Kickstarter page, Vizzles puzzles are made with increased cardstock and a double sided coating with a matte finish. The boxes have a spot UV and matte finish.

Benefits of Doing Jigsaw Puzzles

There are so many benefits to doing jigsaw puzzles. They’re great for keeping your brain sharp. I use them for concentration, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.

In addition to those skills, they help teach pattern recognition, shape sorting, color recognition, problem solving, and even patience.

Does Jen Recommend Vizzles Jigsaw Puzzles?

Yes!

I love supporting independent artists and quite frankly I’m amazed at the amount of details Sam puts into his puzzles.

While the pieces are on the thinner end of the thickness scale they were sturdy and typical of puzzles manufactured in China.

One of the best things about Vizzles is the added activity at the end of the puzzle.

Similar in style to puzzles like White Mountain’s Murder in Little Piddling, Hart’s Oh, The Sights You’ll See, and Magic Puzzle Company’s Secret Soup, the fun doesn’t end when the puzzle is complete.

Vizzles includes 30 riddles to solve when the pieces have all been placed. I will admit they do take a bit of ferreting out, which to me just adds to the fun.

Included with the puzzle were two 8.25″ x 11.25″ reference posters, a sealed envelope with riddles and answers, and the interior of the box lid and bottom have the full image printed on them.

I found the interior box images to be distracting while puzzling as I like to sift through the box. If you sort into separate containers however, you’ll have additional visual reference guides.

The riddle pages are double sided with riddles on one side and answers on the other. The riddle side has blanks for you to write in your answer. I chose to use a separate piece of paper in the event I want to pass the puzzle around.

I definitely recommend checking out a Vizzles puzzle, especially if you enjoy unique artwork and supporting independent creators. There were so many cute faces and so much happening in this puzzle, it was such a delight to complete!
