RoseArt and Kodak and Cra-Z-Art – What Is Going On With All These Names?

Rosebud Art Company was founded in 1923 by Isidor Rosen. During the 1970’s the company changed it’s name to RoseArt and was ultimately sold in 2005. In 2008 Lawrence Rosen (grandson of Isidor Rosen) started the company Cra-Z-Art under the parent company LaRose Industries. In 2021 LaRose Industries repurchased RoseArt from Mattel.

Along the way, LaRose Industries also licensed Kodak jigsaw puzzles, which I’ll be reviewing in the future.

There’s quite a long and winding road between 1923 and 2021 when the company was reunited with it’s original family… but, we’re not taking that road! Instead we’re taking a shortcut right to the puzzles!

Benefits of Doing Jigsaw Puzzles

There are so many benefits to doing jigsaw puzzles. They’re great for keeping your brain sharp. I use them for concentration, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.

In addition to those skills, they help teach pattern recognition, shape sorting, color recognition, problem solving, and even patience.

Does Jen Recommend RoseArt Jigsaw Puzzles?

I do recommend RoseArt puzzles!

I can’t express how much I loved this puzzle. The corners were on the challenging side so I sorted those into their own pile for completing last.

The colors are so beautiful and the puzzle image itself has such depth. I’m thinking of preserving it to hang on my wall.

This is my first RoseArt puzzle but definitely not my last. I found the pieces to be thick enough to hold together pretty well, though I found I didn’t need to move sections around. I puzzled it as it lay.
