They have good selection of whimsical puzzles that are sure to delight puzzlers of all ages.

Piece Count
As MudPuppy is geared towards kids, their piece count selection starts off with just 12 and goes all the way up to 1000. They also have floor puzzles and jumbo puzzles which have extra-large pieces.
The MudPuppy Pet Portrait puzzle has 500 pieces and are approximately 2mm thick.
Cut Style
MudPuppy Puzzles are grid cut which means the pieces are cut in a more systematic grid pattern. The pieces typically have straight edges and pieces will meet at all four corners.
Material
MudPuppy puzzles are made with greyboard that uses 90% recycled material and non-toxic soy based inks.
You may encounter some glare while doing their puzzles. I didn’t find it off-putting as some others.

Image quality is super important when selecting a puzzle. Who wants to do a blurry puzzle picture? MudPuppy puzzles have bright, crisp images.

Search and Find puzzles are fantastic for families and offer an extra level of activity. Once you’ve completed the puzzle, there is a list of items to locate in the picture.

Benefits of Doing Jigsaw Puzzles
There are so many benefits to doing jigsaw puzzles. They’re great for keeping your brain sharp. I use them for concentration, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination. Must stave off the brain cloud!
In addition to those skills, they help teach pattern recognition, shape sorting, color recognition, problem solving, and even patience. Lord knows I could use the practice with that one!

The lack of reference poster doesn’t bother me as the pictures on the larger size boxes is enough and I don’t mind the extra challenge.
