Cut Style
MasterPieces puzzles are random cut. That means the pieces are more irregular and unpredictable manner compared to traditional puzzles.
Random cut puzzles feature pieces that are cut in various shapes and sizes, often with whimsical and non-uniform edges.
The irregular cutting of the pieces adds an extra level of challenge to solving the puzzle, as it eliminates the visual cues provided by the regular grid pattern.
Materials
MasterPieces puzzles are made from recycled board and soy based inks.

Benefits of Doing Jigsaw Puzzles
There are so many benefits to doing jigsaw puzzles. They’re great for keeping your brain sharp. I use them for concentration, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
In addition to those skills, they help teach pattern recognition, shape sorting, color recognition, problem solving, and even patience.
Does Jen Recommend?
Yes!
The random cut puzzle style offers quite a challenge. In fact, they aren’t called “MasterPieces’ for nothing; the randomness in their piece shapes can be diabolical!
I purchased Pastry Party second hand, so it didn’t come with a poster, but the box image was large enough I didn’t really need it.
The pieces are larger, around the 1″ x 2″ range and are super easy to handle. The puzzle does end up being quite a bit larger than normal at 39″ x 20″ and didn’t fit on my puzzle board.
If you like doing puzzles in sections, I recommend having some flat trays to move sections around. The interlock is quite good but pieces don’t hold well to being moved.
