Let’s Talk Cobble Hill Puzzles.
Let me introduce you to the Cobble Hill puzzle brand. They’ve been around since 2005 making beautiful puzzles and connecting with the community. I’ve done many Cobble Hill puzzles over the years and I just love them!
They have a fantastic selection of piece sizes and themes. They use a low glare linen paper, and make a lot of their images in-house so many of their puzzles are totally unique. I first discovered them by doing the Blue collage puzzle which is in their Rainbow series.

Cobble Hill employs a random-cut style for their puzzles. Random cut puzzles feature pieces that are cut in various shapes and sizes, often with whimsical and non-uniform edges.
This technique adds an extra layer of challenge extra level of challenge to solving the puzzle, as it eliminates the visual cues provided by the regular grid pattern.
Materials
Cobble Hill Puzzles are a fantastic choice especially if you’re eco-conscious. Their puzzles are made from 100% recycled material and vegetable based ink. Even their packaging is recyclable.
The linen paper used for every image is amazing. Not only do the pieces have a nice textured feel, there is literally no glare.
The puzzle boxes and reference posters have the same linen paper that the puzzles do. Is it only me that likes to run their hands over the finished puzzle to celebrate?
Benefits of Doing Jigsaw Puzzles
There are so many benefits to doing jigsaw puzzles. They’re great for keeping your brain sharp. I use them for concentration, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination. Must stave off the brain cloud!
In addition to those skills, they help teach pattern recognition, shape sorting, color recognition, problem solving, and even patience. Lord knows I could use the practice with that one!
Does Jen Recommend Cobble Hill Puzzles?
Cobble Hill Puzzles is in the top 10 of my favorite puzzle brands! The linen finish weighs heavily in my choice; puzzle glare is the worst.
I love the challenge of the random cut pieces; sometimes you think you’re looking for one piece only to find out it’s actually two or three pieces. FUN!
The reference poster is great, especially if you feel stuck at a tricky spot.
Cobble Hill offers a nice range of images and themes – there’s definitely something for everyone.
If you like doing puzzles in sub-sections (Like my BFF!) you’ll want to have a tray handy to move the section to your puzzle board or working area. The pieces do interlock and fit well, but are not snug enough to lift the entirety of a section or indeed the whole puzzle.
One last note – Cobble Hill does offer replacement puzzles if you’re missing a piece. The caveat is that the puzzle must be gifted to you un-opened or purchased directly from their website.
