In January of 2023, Blue Kazoo upgraded their manufacturing process to completely eliminate plastics from their products. I really love that! Even the stickers that keep the box sealed are biodegradable!

Image Quality and Resolution

Colourful Queensland was a departure for me in that the colors, while rich in hue, are more muted than I normally look for in a puzzle.

Benefits of Doing Jigsaw Puzzles

There are so many benefits to doing jigsaw puzzles. They’re great for keeping your brain sharp. I use them for concentration, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.

In addition to those skills, they help teach pattern recognition, shape sorting, color recognition, problem solving, and even patience.

Does Jen Recommend Blue Kazoo Jigsaw Puzzles?

Yes!

I chose the Queensland puzzle because I traveled to Australia in the early 90’s and spent quite a bit of time in the state of Queensland. It was fun to have the memories resurface while puzzling.

The puzzle quality is amazing, the pieces are sturdy and of course have my preferred matte finish.

I loved the cheeky messages on the shipping box and the resealable bag. These ‘personalized’ touches really put their puzzles over the top.

Blue Kazoo also included fun facts about Australia and Queensland around the outside of the box bottom. Those of you that follow me know I love a fun fact!

You may see puzzles labeled as “Classic Edition” – these puzzles were manufactured before 2023 and will be wrapped in cellophane and have a poly plastic bag.

The artwork for the Colourful Queensland puzzle was created by Percival Albert Trompf in 1950 for the Queensland Government Tourist Bureau. (That’s another fun fact!)

Visit the Blue Kazoo website to check out their curious and engaging catalog. Oh, and they have a factory outlet too!
