Let’s take a closer look at these super high quality, amazingly unique puzzles!

Soonness Jigsaw Puzzle Materials and Cut Style
Cut Style
Soonness puzzles are random cut. That means the pieces are more irregular and unpredictable manner compared to traditional puzzles.
Random cut puzzles feature pieces that are cut in various shapes and sizes, often with whimsical and non-uniform edges.
The irregular cutting of the pieces adds an extra level of challenge to solving the puzzle, as it eliminates the visual cues provided by the regular grid pattern.
Materials
Soonness puzzles are plastic free and made with 100% recycled materials along with soy based inks.
The pieces come in a biodegradable paper bag along with an additional paper storage bag. You will also get a substantially sized reference poster and a beautiful art/postcard of the finished artwork.
Benefits of Doing Jigsaw Puzzles
There are so many benefits to doing jigsaw puzzles. They’re great for keeping your brain sharp. I use them for concentration, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
In addition to those skills, they help teach pattern recognition, shape sorting, color recognition, problem solving, and even patience.
Does Jen Recommend?
Yes!
From the collage artwork, to the random piece shapes, to the matte finish; New World checked all the boxes on my puzzle wish list.
So we have to talk about the elephant in the room and that is the price of a Soonness puzzle. They are pretty far above what I would normally pay for a puzzle. But! The puzzles are slightly less expensive during the Pick and Pre-order event which is how I purchased New World. Keep in mind that these are limited edition puzzles and that the artists benefit directly from each sale.
The puzzle quality is amazing, the pieces are sturdy and of course have my preferred matte finish. They also have a linen texture similar to what you’d find on a Cobble Hill puzzle. You can read my review of Cobble Hill puzzles here.
If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that I have a curious mind and enjoy fun facts. While doing this puzzle I researched some of the images and text found in the artwork. I learned quite a bit about the Zell Guano Works and the fertilizer industry of the late 1800’s. Amazing!
Soonness also focuses on the puzzling community and features new puzzlers each month on their blog. You can check out my feature this month by clicking here! I was thrilled to be interviewed and to be included in their puzzle community!
If you enjoyed New World, you can find Colin Johnson on Instagram and also see more of his work on his website.
Soonness is quite unique among all the puzzle companies out there and I hope you’ll check them out.
